Hi all,
Please consider sending a member of your group to the upcoming general meeting of CORRA, the Confederation of Resident and Ratepayer Associations in Toronto. What follows is an excerpt from the announcement for the meeting. Bring your concerns and suggestions; CORRA wants to hear from you.

Details:
Date: Saturday November 22, 2014
Time: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Place: Swansea Town Hall – Village Room
95 Lavinia Avenue (East of Windermere and South of DeForest)

Tentative meeting agenda:
Appeals:
· CORRA’s appeal of the DPS - Development Permit System after failing a motion to have the item referred back to staff on a tie vote at Council.
· CORRA’s appeal of the Official Plan Amendment (OPA) along the Eglinton transit corridor and why this should be important to you and your group
· CORRA’s appeal of the zoning by-law amendments among other amendments along the Eglinton transit corridor.
· CORRA’s appeal of the City-wide Zoning By-law that was enacted in May 2013 – we will highlight what is working and what needs to change with feedback from your experiences so far – “double” basements and vertical splits have cropped up
· These appeals retain our rights to keep the dialogue open for ongoing discussion and possible mediation for further change

Board Hearings / Mediation
· City-wide appeal of the OP Heritage and Public Realm Policies by the building Industry / land and development group and others
· CORRA shares with you our role at the OMB Mediation sessions.
· Mediation specifics remain confidential at this time.

Official Plan Review:
· Update on the ongoing OP Reviews to include Urban Design – these policies are at the very preliminary stages; Healthy Neighbourhoods, Neighbourhoods, and Apartment Neighbourhood Policies; and Environment Policies
· Open Houses are about to begin for the “Neighbourhood Policies” and CORRA will be sending out an reminder
· For those that have reviewed the amendments and shared your thoughts with CORRA – thank you!

Other Consultations:
· For groups that have expressed concern with the Avenue and Mid-Rise Buildings Study a possible consultation is in the works with planning staff to provide your views on the effectiveness of these guidelines.
· Harmonization of outdoor café and marketing bylaws on public sidewalks
