sign by-law and DPS official plan policies coming before Planning & Growth this Thursday

Hi all,

Planning and Growth will be discussing the new sign by-law this Thursday, April 10:

If you haven't seen the video about the impact of flashing (every 8 seconds… euphemistically called 'static') billboards… this is a must:

Really shocking. Todd is fantastically articulate in the vid---Todd, can you depute at the meeting? Would be very powerful. I've asked CORRA to submit the video to members of P&G.

There are other important items occuring at P&G, including discussion of the proposed Official Plan Principles for implementing a Development Permit System. Please consider writing in, if only to ask the City to slow down and do some sorely needed research on what Keesmaat has called a "fundamental shift" in how planning is done in Toronto.
