Hey friends,

As some of you may know, there was a major tragedy in one of the most important areas of forest left on the planet in late March and April, which continues to threaten the survival of critically endangered Sumatran orangutans. As over 92 fires smolder, palm oil companies like Cargill are racing to deny the role they've played in the destruction and devastation of the Tripa forest.

If you didn't see our response to Cargill's misleading claims last week, you can read it here.

We've gathered thousands of petitions to Cargill CEO Greg Page throughout the past couple of months, calling on him to take action now and adopt critical supply chain safeguards that would prevent Cargill from profiting off the destruction of tragedies like the one under way in Tripa.

Now we need to deliver them!

I will be coming out the week of May 14 and need as many folks as possible to come with me to make a colorful delivery to our friend Mark Murphy at the Cargill HQ in Minnetonka.

Please respond with answers to the following questions:
  1. Are you interested in joining the petition delivery to Cargill HQ?
  2. If so, what morning works best for you? Our options are Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 5/15, 5/16 or 5/17.
  3. Are you interested in helping us assemble the thousands of petitions in a way that provides a powerful visual? We need creative ideas! We're thinking of framing it in this way: "we have as many signatures as there are orangutans left in Sumatra (or in the world if we have that many)."
  4. Do you have a vehicle? Are you willing to drive?
  5. Can you help us document the delivery by taking photos?

Thank you! I look forward to hopefully seeing many of you in a couple of weeks ;)

In solidarity,
Ashley
