Hi all,
the ramses slurm database is an attempt at improving the user experience when deploying ramses on computing centers,
by providing examples of jobs that were submitted on the same or similar architectures and setups.
NOW WE NEED YOUR INPUT.
Indeed the ramses database for job scripts has been setup here:
https://github.com/ramses-organisation/ramses-job-scriptsThe readme of the github repo has all the relevant information for depositing job scripts for consideration for addition to the DB, but I reproduce the main points below
in the sake of saving you some time.
You can already browse the STATIC_DB for the 5 indexed scripts it containts (thank you Corentin!)
To make it more useful and more populated, Id like to ask you to submit your ramses job scripts, INCLUDING a metadata section (please dont send anything without the metadata).
The metadata is simple, there are only 9 mandatory fields, essentially. They are described here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DFmUW2Si3mBQGOoSxdLJDuhoOSqWc4pjZAMGJM95qxc/edit?usp=sharingand also in the readme of the github repo.
You will see that the repo for sending me your job scripts is here:
https://seafile.unistra.fr/d/7cf0c55d4a0447a8aba5/
that’s my Strasbourg university seafile and the single entry point for scripts into the DB.
So please send your scripts there.
To sample the diversity of what we do, I dont need 100 scripts per person, but if everyone of you sends me 2-3 scripts, used on 2-3 different supercomputers, then that should be fine!
So dig up your best scripts and please send.
Cheers,
Pierre
