Finally, to help match the user to the account I found it helpful to be more specific with the user data on the client. Instead of using the plain username, I used the username along with the domain of the user on the server. In my case, my client's C:\Users\UserName\.ssh\config file looked like this:
If you install using the SSHD_SERVER account and privilege separation you will be able to use public key authentication (per -software.com/opensshd-pki.html). However if UAC is enable you will not be successful with the install. The user(s) will not be created properly and the service will not be created. Manually trying to get these items up after the fact is very difficult. Simply disabling UAC before installation will allow the installation process to properly create the user(s) and the service. After installation you can re-enable UAC.
When I created the SSHD_SERVER account manually authentication succeed when using password authentication but the client termination the connection with "/bin/bash: Operation not permitted". Authentication with public keys was closed by the server (original error posted by Cambolie).
This is a very English language centric default Microsoft use.The group match lines currently check for the ENGLISH language version string of the Administrators group called 'administrators' this FAILS on many other language installs of windows. On a German installation that line needs to be 'administratoren' instead. They better make it possible le to match group by SID instead. ( This is even more important in the DenyGroups matching feature - have not tested this yet - but if they check for strings instead of SID there then the denies are meaningless and easily circumvented by using a different windows language install )
I recently purchased an i9 Windows 11 OMEN gaming laptop, and I've been having issues with the system disabling my Windows key. I've searched all over the internet for ways to get this to stop happening, or to reactivate the button. Currently, any time I play any game, the windows key becomes disabled, and the only way I've been able to restore it functioning is by restarting the device, which is a major hassle. And it's not even something as simple as FN+F12, because it's not being disabled from there. I've even tried turning off Game Mode, but that doesn't seem to prevent the issue from reoccuring. I really need some assistance in trying to figure this out because it's driving me crazy and I JUST got this device last month, and it's been doing this. Does anyone know what is causing this, or the solution to prevent this from happening??
Ok..i dont get it...I actually performed the exact same method and it is working for me.... i didnt use the key while install or after install..i just used it for converting the eval to full version and then activated using the activator.

My questions were based on Win 11 22H2 Preview branch being same as Server 2022 preview i.e 22463, hence the query regarding the release timeline (possibly of a Windows Server 2022 R2 or so...). But as you said, LTSC releases would happen after a gap of 2-3 years so that clarifies my queries. Thanks again
I recently bought a "Redragon Draconic K530 Pro" keyboard and mapped the keys using keys modifier settings, but after that, The windows key that should work as "option" key isn't working. Before mapping, the ALT key was working fine just like option.
Ok, I dug out a Logitech K120 Windows keyboard and attached it to my iMac Pro. It works as you expected mapped the way yours is. However, I don't know if it will work for your particular keyboard or if it's because you apparently are using it as an external keyboard on a MacBook Air.

I installed this update and still can not create the USB. I have a samsung 128gig 3.0 which the tool does not see, I tried a full parttition, a 10gig partition. Seems to be an issue with this usb stick. Tried a lexar 8gig and it shows up.
