Dear Leaders  What a grand closing we experienced for Year 2008.   We had the opportunity of celebrating not one but TWO significant recognitions at the same time! Our very own Diamond Directs, Abel and Roshni as well as Zulkifli and Fathiah, celebrated their achievement of Executive Diamond Club level. Congratulations again!    We also would like to extend our congrats to all those who have achieved different level of success throughout last year. We hope to celebrate many more achievements with you as we embrace another fresh new year.   Let us kick start the first KL Weekend Leadership Seminar Year 2009 by introducing our Guest Speaker, Diamond Direct (Australia & South Africa) Basil Harris. He is no stranger to most of us, being Guest Speaker in our Weekend for many times before. To the newcomers, here is a short write-up of Basil & Leonie Harris’ journey to Diamond.   Basil & Leonie Harris             Basil and Leonie were initially not ideal candidates for the business. Basil was too aggressive and lacked people skills, while Leonie was too shy to even speak to more than two people at one time.           As newcomers to Australia, they only had a list of seven names. People told them they couldn’t do it and it wouldn’t work because the business was saturated - Amway had already been in Australia for 11 years.          They realized they could make a success of this opportunity if they were willing to change. And change they did, because they wanted to be successful and someday, to take the business back to South Africa.           Today, they are living their dream, and have been financially independent for many years, thanks to this business. The Harris’ goal now is “to see how many people we can help through this business”.
