Demise of Professor Chandrashekar Adiga

Dear Colleagues,

It is with deep sadness that I share the news of the sad passing away of Professor Chandrashekar Adiga on 28 August 2024, in Mysore, after a brief illness. Adiga was an active member of the RMS who held the office of Managing Editor of JRMS for five years. He was 67, and is survived by his wife and two sons.

A kind-hearted person, Adiga trained and guided a large student fraternity, especially in his field of specialization number theory, with utmost sincerity and dedication. He leaves behind a legacy of deep commitment to teaching and service to the mathematical community.

We will dearly miss his warm presence and gentle guidance.
