Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

Alhamdulillah we are now in the last 10 days of Ramadan and hope that you are all up to date with your tasks. If not, Ramadan presents the ideal opportunity to catch up on missed tasks and gain more reward for your good deeds inshaAllah.

Before moving forward please take a look at the Ramadan Tracking Sheet and let us know something about yourself in the "Cool Facts" column. Alhamdulillah we are all a group of brothers and sisters standing up for those less fortunate then ourselves - we are a family united in our cause. Let us know something cool about you, i.e you like to write or enjoy Muhammad Al Luhaidan's recitation.

This week focus your efforts getting pledges inshaAllah. You can do this in the following ways:

Task 4: Enjoin in Al-Mar'uf [Good Actions]

Subcontract three $30 pledges to another person. Ask them to get these 3 pledges fulfilled.

Share the ajr with your friends! Get others to do some work!

Make a list of your contacts and reach out to them.

Contact Ahmad from your soccer team or Sarah from your class!

Fill out one pledge yourself

Speak to yourself- be part of your own initiative!

Did You Know?

Just a small act of worship can result in a huge reward: shade on the day that there is no shade except His shade.

The Prophet Muhammad salAllahu alayhi wa sallam said, "There are seven whom Allah will sahde in His Sahde on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade: a just ruler; a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; a man who heart is attached to the mosques; two men who love each other for Allah's sake, meeting for that and parting upon that; a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position, but he says: 'I fear Allah', a man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity; and a man who remembered Allah in private and so his eyes shed tears." [Sahih Muslim/Bukhari].

It may not seem like much, but reflect upon the graveness of this day. In another hadith, the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wa sallam said "On the Day of Resurrection, the sun would draw so close to the people that there would be left a distance of only one mile. The people will be submerged in perspiration according to their deeds, some up to their ankles, some up to their knees, some up to the waist and some would have the bridle of perspiration and, while saying this, the Messenger of Allah put his hand towards his mouth.' [Sahih Muslim]

May Allah subhanahu wa ta'alaa reward you for your commitment to supporting brothers and sisters in your community. Jazakumullahu khairan.

AsSalamu Alaikum

Expand your circle...

I was just speaking to a sister who had been working hard on this. Yet was unable to move beyond the one-time donations.

However, once we spoke - we realized that she was accessing only one of the groups she had access to...

And sometimes its just that, we need to look around and see who else or which other group of people can I speak to...

E.g. School friends, family, coworkers, masjid buddies, soccer buddies, etc.

WRC - a Women's helpline is a good cause that you may receive support from your co-workers from... Just ensure you make it clear that its a not-profit and not a Charity.

NMC - really a hit among any Muslim with some concern for reputation of the Muslims...

Wassalam
