Update 10/20

This is the update for the Rally to Restore Sanity Chicago as promised
the once a day email.

Hey everyone I just wanted to reflect for a quick second, after I just
finished an interview about the rally I realized I started the
facebook page on Sept 19 almost one month ago. We got 100 members
that day. Look how far we have come.

OK without getting you too excited I am gonna tell you about what is
in the works. Cause otherwise you will think I didn't do anything all
do cause we don't have much new to report.

We are currently in talks with a T-shirt company who said they are
strongly considering donating all the security T-shirts as well as T-
shirts for volunteers. Thank you to everyone who has made calls about
this. Until you hear if this is confirmed feel free to still search
about for good deals for the rally.

We also have been in talks all day with both a LCD and Rigging company
who is STRONGLY considering DONATING the jumbo tron. The costs would
end up being a single union worker (the supervisor at $85 per hour
with 8 hour min), a power generator (cost still unknown) and the Dish
Network Tripod Satellite dish ($199 daily rental) and the basic cable
for the day (cost unknown I think no more than $60) So if this
donation does come through we will have our Jumbo Tron for much less
then we thought. BUT we will need a LOT more help. Approx 20 folks
who are comfortable lifting to help rig the entire thing. Again it is
not set in stone so if you are one of the many rally members who have
been making calls for us continue to until you hear this is a done
deal.

Yesterday I did turn in all our paper work to the Park Dist, things
are looking very good and we are just waiting on our security team to
get a revised plan back to us for final approval.

I did a few interviews today, I will post links if anything turns up.

On the Events tab on the main rally page we have two events coming up

Tomorrow (Thurs) we are having an unofficial meet and greet at Goose
Island Pub in Wrigleyville (on clark and Addison basically) at 9pm.
The band who wrote the Rally Theme (BC) is playing. It is a $5 cover
that wont be going to the Rally but I will be there to collect any
donations or hang out if anyone would like to meet me before I am
running around at the event like a chicken with my head cut off.

Sunday we are having a practice for the Flash Mob Dance. Here is the
info:
Grant Park (corner of Michigan and Balbo - where the summer dance
festival takes place).
Sunday, October 24
4 - 6 pm

That is all I got right now, our donations are coming in at $12,290.
We are still in need of funds to cover some basic costs. If you have
