10/25 Late Update

Thanks for everyones kind wishes last night, I am feeling much better
this morning. I am gonna give you the update from yesterday and later
tonight will update you on the days events.



Well we have another cost that was added (something I knew was coming
but didn't know how much it would be) $950 for the stage barracade
that is required by the Park Dist. Tonight I will update the budget
again and hopfully have a final tally of all our costs. Still an
unknown is how much the traffic officer is gonna be.



We meet with the Park Dist (me and my wonderful production team. If
you have production needs please call on Insiders Entertainment) and
we are moving the rally. It is still in Grant Park, it is still at
Jackson and Columbus...but it is not at the BAND SHELL! You might be
saying "But Angie then why do I have to come at 5:30am to help unfold
a stage" well because the property is the Park Dist but the Stage is
the citys. And we don't have enough time to get the city to approve
us to use it. They were actually taking it down for the season when
we arrived. So we have to put our stage in front of there stage.
Silly I know, but it is gonna give us a whole lot more room to streach
out.



Here is what I am working on today. I have a couple of photo shoots
with newspapers today (redeye and suntimes) I know so hollywood
right? I have to send out some money for the stage barracades, t-
shirts for security, and gotta get that security plan to the powers at
be. I have learned a LOT about security and I am soooo confident we
are gonna have a safe event. Then we gotta raise a bit more money.



We are doing GREAT! Who would have thought when we started taking
donations three weeks ago we would have come so far. We are only about
$2,000 away from our immediate cost needs (and I will update the exact
amount tonight after I go over the numbers again) then it is all for
the kids. It is worth repeating that all funds raised over our costs
will be donated to Chicago Public Schools...and not my kids school
either. I want it to go to South Side High Schools...they will be
voting soon and we should invest in our future :)



We have lots to do this week (and by we in mean all 6,000 of us) some
things you can do to help. Do you tweet? We are gonna ask folks to
start to use the hashtag #rally4chi to help spread the word. Tweet it
up! Do you facebook? Change your profile picture to the rally poster
so when you are telling your friends how you are ROTFLMAO they can see
your image and respond "Whats that all about?"

Are you a blogger? Lets get those keyboards going! I am happy to
answer any questions from ANYONE email rally4s...@gmail.com and I
will respond to you as soon as I have a second. As long as the black
death doesn't get me again today.



We are putting the final touches on the line up. I will have it for
sure Wed, but maybe tonight.



I can't put into words how touched I am that so many have come
together for this, and given me personally so much support to see it
through. I can't wait to meet all of you.
