As promised once a day update on how we are doing.

Well we raised the $10,000 but that of course does not take into
account the paypal fees (seen here https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside)
So we still have a bit to go. And it seems the need is ever growing
of what we have to pay for. Here is a list of what I have found we
have to pay for in order of urgency.

1. $5000 security Deposit to the Chicago Park Dist
2. $2,900 for insurance for 10,000 attendees
3. $1,750 for 10 port a johns (most likely this will be where the park
ask for more)
4. $75 to record with the State the NFP papers
5. $38 to file articles of Incorporation
5a. $5 for the Cashiers check to pay the filing fee
6. $275 penalty for taking donations before NFP status was granted
7. $800 to file for tax except status (or pay taxes on the donations
collected whatever is the least amount)
8. Staging $1,000 (this is an estimate of the frieght charge to get
the stage to us and take it back the same day, the actual stage is
being donated)
9. Chicago Park Dist required union labors to assemble the stage (this
cost is yet known to me)
10. Lakefront Maintenance cost (garbage pick up) this cost is yet
known to me, but the form has been submitted requesting the fee.
11. Jumbo Tron, $5,000

What has been donated is the Audio equipment (from http://www.meetingtomorrow.com)
and the security (as well as legal services from http://www.kamelilawgroup.com/)

So what is next...

I am hoping to get the security plan back this weekend. We can't
submit anything until we have that. I have submitted the insurance
payment so I am hoping we will get that back Monday as well. We will
have to fax the Security plan to the Police Commander for his approval
(hoping he can get this back to us by Tuesday) I have requested the
contract for the port a johns and hope to have it Monday paid and
done. I am meeting with Insiders Entertainment on Monday at the
location so they can sketch out the layout drawing for the event to be
submitted.

If we get all this done and back Monday then we can submit our Special
Event permit and Park Dist revised permit Tuesday 9am. Then we should
know by Friday what else is needed.

But I assume things wont go this smooth, I assume we will hit bumps.
So lets be prepared. Don't stop spreading the word about the facebook
group, dont' stop asking friends to donate, and don't stop hoping we
will reach our goal.
