to Rally to Restore Sanity Chicago
As promised here is the daily update of what is going on with the
Rally.

Well its Sunday so not much more to report but here is what is going
on:

1. It is worth repeating that any money we raise beyond our costs will
go to Chicago Public Schools. It is my plan to do some research on
the most in need South Side High Schools and sending an email to all
those who have donated and get there input on what school they want
the money to go to. For info on some of the fights CPS and all
Illinois schools are fighting visit www.noto37.org it should be said I
am not affiliated with the site or the group just a cause that is
close to me.

2. To the question of press releases...The City of Chicago Special
Events department did have a conversation with me at the end of Sept
and asked that we not promote the event with press releases or posters
until our event is approved. With that said I am going to send out
some releases about what we are trying to do in hopes to drum up
interest. We are now 12 days away and that is why it is very very
important that our word of mouth continue about our movement.

3. We have our security plan! It is being faxed off in the next hour
to the Police Commander for his approval. I will keep you updated.
His approval is a very important piece of our application so light a
candle and cross your fingers that it will work to his liking.

4. Have you seen the Rally Song local music/comedy act BC did?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PijUDZ1Ix7Q They have said the first
person to donate $1,000 they will write a song about that person and
play it at the rally. They will be performing on Thursday Oct 22 at
9pm at the Wriglyville Gooseisland and I will be at the show. If you
want to come by and meet me, meet them, and donate to the rally please
come by. The $5 cover to get into the show will NOT go to the rally
but we are gonna be on hand to take donations and discuss ideas if you
would like to come by.

5. Chicago Grid Magazine has said they will throw an after party for
the rally. Details will be forthcoming.

This is a big week for the rally, keep telling people about the
facebook page and thanks for all the support.
