10/29 Update

As promised this is your daily update on the Rally to Restore Sanity
Chicago event.

Here we are night 37. Here is what we have accomplished. We grew to
7,709 fans. We have RSVP’d saying 3,477 will attend (many saying they
are coming with family members as well). Have raised $21,623.60 (we
should also note we have only be taking donations for 30 or the 37
days). We have made miracles happen. And now we find ourselves here
in this moment the night before.

I have been told (and will be going off what I have been told, not
what I hear) that we can move forward as planned. You are not gonna
notice what has changed from our original plan cause most of it is
behind the scenes stuff. We will still have our speakers, we will
still have audio equipment, we will still have our Jumbotron and live
feed from DC, we will have 2 EMT’s on site and an ambulance, we will
have 50 security officers, we will have 10 port a johns.

Here is our plan, we will have DC going the whole time, all speakers
have been told if something cool is happening in DC we will ask them
to pause and cut to DC then come back to them. They are ready for
that. Here is what we have planned:

It has been a long day folks. I can’t wait to meet you all
tomorrow.

So what is next you might ask…will I get another update? I might send
one or two next week but NOT daily. I am gonna go over all the money
once we get back all our security deposits and know how much we have
for the kids (everything over our costs are going toward Chicago
Public Schools). I will most likely update you at that point as well
as sending an email to everyone who contributed letting them know.
Also a few "after the rally" sites have popped up with discussions of
continuing the movement for years to come. I will pass that info on
as well. AND I am sure we will all want to share pictures and video
from the event.

Really that is all I got guys, at this point we let that fates take
hold and lead us where they will.

If you are planning on coming to help set up we aren’t gonna start
till 7am. If Donna has not contacted you for help with a table or
taking donations or clean up then we are all set with those roles and
thanks everyone for stepping up.
