to Rally to Restore Sanity Chicago
Happy Sunday Rally Members. As promised this is your once a day email
update on the Rally to Restore Sanity Chicago.

We seeing it is Sunday again we have nothing to report from the
Chicago Park Dist BUT we do have a meeting with them at 10am on Monday
to discuss the possibility of moving us across the street to the band
shell area. This will give us more room. We will let you know what
happens.

We had a huge fundraising day! We are now only 16% away from reaching
our goal to cover min costs of the rally. Thanks you all so much who
have donated (and those who have donated multiple times!) If you have
not donated yet you can donate here:

We have been so focused on setting up the event at 5:30am I forgot to
ask for folks to stay and help close up the stage and clean the park
(even though we are paying for the park dist to clean I would like it
if we could do a once over of trash) You can sign up for that at the
discussion tab here http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=153615217995236&topic=276

So the big news of the day is President Obama will be in town on the
same day as our rally. From what I understand his event will happen
on the Southside and the doors will open at 4:30pm. Some folks have
talked about going from our event to his. Please note at the Obama
event they have a no sign policy. I know this is a non partisan event
but I would be lying if I didn't say I think it would be super bad ass
if the President stopped by our Rally. But I know that is a long shot
cause he is traveling to several states that day on air force one
trying to get a final push in for the Vote. Here is the info I got on
his Rally for those that are interested:
What: Moving America Forward Rally with President Barack Obama

Where: Chicago, IL (location TBD)

When: Saturday, October 30th Doors open: 4:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required,
but an RSVP is encouraged. Space is available on a first-come, first-
served basis.

For security reasons, please avoid bringing bags to the rally if at
all possible -- you should expect airport-like security. No signs,
banners, or laptops are permitted.

Thanks is all I have for this wonderful end of weekend. It is a HUGE
week for us to get the word out. Rest well I will chat with you again
in the morning.

Angie
