10/23 Update

Hey everyone as promised this is your daily update on all thing
Chicago Rally to Restore Sanity.

Being that it is Sat we don't have a ton to report as far as the Park
Dist goes. But we do have some fun stuff to pass on.

A. As some of you may or may not know Rally Member Toni Husbands has
been working on a Flash Mob Dance. They are going to have a practice
on Sunday (10/24) at
Grant Park (corner of Michigan and Balbo - where the summer dance
festival takes place).Sunday, October 244 - 6 pmLink to practice, but
come even if you don't know the dance yet.

B. Rally Member Joe Schmitt put together some wonderful and fun ways
for us all to help spread the word on the Rally take a look at this
list:

1. Post that they are going on FB, Twitter, Tumblr, or blog. And
encourage others to come.

2. Encourage others to find out more and follow @rally4sanitychi

3. Donate $5 or more to http://rally4sanitychi.chipin.com/rally-to-restore-sanity-chicago
and encourage others to.

4. Make a video with me. It’s easy. I just need everyone to make a 3-5
second video where they look at the camera and say “I’m ___(Twitter or
Tumblr or blog name)____, and I’m going to the Rally To Restore Sanity
in Grant Park.” Feel free to put this in your own words and maybe add
something like “I’ll see you there.” Then send the best take to
propjoe at gmail, and I’ll get it edited together with the others.
Then when I get it up on YouTube, we can all post on Tumblr and
Twitter. It should get people to really feel that it’s important to go
because all their favorite people are going to. I’d like at least 10.

Preference for the video is for it to be on a FlipVid or better, but
web cams or iPhone video will do. The important thing is that the
audio needs to be clear. My editor recommends you have the camera 3-5
feet away, center the speaker and have their head at the top of the
frame. If you’re in Chicago, I can probably film you, so reach out to
me at propjoe at gmail or on Facebook or DM me.

Feel free to make your part a little fun. Some people will be doing
theirs walking out the door or putting on their coat, as though they
are on their way. I’m going to try to get a few on their way into
Grant Park.

Try to make and send your video this weekend.

5. Next Thursday and Friday we’ll try to get a hashtag going
#rally4sanitychi for people to suggest what the rally signs should
say. This should get awareness up and give people a chance to be
creative.

site

We only have 21% left to get to our goal of $18,000. 510
contributions have been made (some folks have given up to three
times). Every little bit helps. If you have already given Thank you

help us have a great event but we are trying to get to the place where
we are beyond our goal so we can give money to Chicago Public
