Today, we're excited to announce that we have released Call Recording as an advanced feature of Outreach Voice. One of the most important aspects of making a team effective in their dialing flows is the ability to coach calling skills, including how reps navigate everything from directory services and secretaries, to the actual conversations with the people they're trying to reach.
For a manager, being able to review conversations and identify opportunities for a rep to improve sales call skills is one of the most effective tools in a coach's toolbox. After seeing it in action, we think you'll see why this feature is such an important aspect of an efficient sales team.
Once call recording is enabled for a user profile, users with that profile will then have the option to record or not record their calls. By default, Call Recording also comes with a feature enabled that provides a two-party consent reminder dialog for a user on each call they make with recording on. If an org's administrator feels they have trained their users well enough on this for it not to be necessary, the administrator can simply disable this feature on the user profile.
As users complete their calls, they will have the option to retain or discard a call recording when logging the call notes and outcome. Once a call is logged with an attached recording, the audio can be listened to by clicking on the recording in the activity feed, or from the calls history section, accessed on the left navigation.
As always, Outreach will post call activities to Salesforce if the bi-directional sync is configured to do so, and for call activities that have call recordings, Outreach will include a link to the audio file within the body of the activity posted.
Call Recording is a powerful feature of any sales team that leverages dialing as a part of their overall strategy. As you leverage this advanced feature of Outreach Voice, please be aware of the concepts of single-party and two-party consent as it pertains to your team, both for the location they are in, as well as the parties you are calling. If you don't have Call Recording enabled for your org, and wish to have access this advanced feature, please contact your sales representative.
I have a problem in recording a call I have made a service and called a BroadcastReceiver to get the call state. In TelephonyManager.EXTRA_STATE_OFFHOOK when the call is received. I am using following code to record the call
recorder.setAudioSource(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.VOICE_CALL); works on limited devices ,it will give exception only on that device in which voice call is not supported so catch the exception and start the recording from mic all over again that will keep you on safer side in non supported device.
I think the issue that we don't listen the other side voice is for Accessibility access.Need to turn on the Accessibility for the recorder app. In that way issue will be fixed.Also use recorder.setAudioSource(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.VOICE_COMMUNICATION);
You cannot record the caller voice as long as the volume is low. It is programmatically not possible, because the AudioRecorder or MediaRecorder only recording through the microphone. The only thing You can do is, set the volume from the speaker as loud as possible.

The optional voice enhancement capability helps provide an improved listening experience for narrowband call recordings by using machine learning to remove noise and to carry out super-resolution to restore wideband speech frequency content.
Voice enhancement can help reduce listening fatigue and improve productivity for employees such as compliance officers or call center supervisors, who have to frequently listen to call recordings. Customers of Amazon Chime SDK call analytics using the recording capability can enable voice enhancement via the AWS console or APIs. You can use voice enhancement for call recordings in US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) AWS Regions.
Google cracked down on third-party recording apps in the Google Play Store last year in the name of improved privacy, but it is still possible to record phone calls on Android phones -- and there's a workaround or two as well.
In some states, you do not need the other party's permission to record the call as long as you are a consenting party on the call yourself. In others, all parties must consent to the recording. Check federal and state laws before recording any phone conversation.

Though rates may be applied if you're using Voice to make international phone calls or other calls and texts that don't use an internet connection, using Google Voice is otherwise free, including recording incoming phone calls.
While it is not illegal to record a phone conversation, state laws determine whether or not the party being recorded must be notified that they are being recorded. Google's Phone app and Voice have built-in functionality that notifies all parties on the call that they are being recorded, giving everyone freedom to end the call if they do not wish to be recorded.
If you want a record of a phone call or meeting, you could also opt for a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) platform instead. Zoom and Microsoft Teams, for example, offer meeting- and call-recording functionality. However, participants will be informed at the start of a session of the recording.
I have Call Recorder ACR app on my mobile phone. I've linked to Dropbox to store my phone recordings. They appear in Dropbox after each call but I can't get them to play on Windows Media Play although it supposedly supports 3GP and MP4, both of which I've tried. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the feed back. It sounds a little bit more complicated than I thought. I was hoping for a setting in the extension that would allow to change the default location setting of a recorded call and directed a mailbox.
This is the other way around with all other companies and contact, and I can't see any difference in all data in the background.
Even if I disconnect a contact, which was created under one of these organisations, the calls are recorded automatically.
I hope someone can tell me where we've switched something on or off, because for other organisations in our database this could be an ideal option, but not for the ones Hubspot is recording it all at the moment.
There is a setting that we can turn off to prevent call recordings (see screenshot below). In order to prevent the automatic call recording from happening - we can uncheck the option and it should stop automatic call recording. Small note is that if we turn this off - it will disable recording across the entire portal as documented in this help article.
That being said, if you are only looking to disable recordings from the calling tool - this might require your team to manually stop the recording at the start of the call, in order to stop the recording before the call.

I want to use it for general voice / audio recording, not call recording. Recording audio with the camera app (along with a video) also seems to have stopped working. Microphone permission is set and there was no problem in Android 9.
All you need is a free Google Voice phone number. Ask the interviewee to call that Google Voice number. Answer the call, to start recording, press 4 at any time to start the recording. Press 4 to stop the recording or just hang up.
To delete a recording, hit the stop button, then tap the trash can. Accidentally got rid of a recording? Just as you can recover deleted photos, you can recover recently deleted recordings. On the main Voice Memos screen, tap Recently Deleted to see a list of your trashed files. Select Recover to restore your recording, but bear in mind that you only have about 30 days to recover deleted files.
To rename your recording, tap the default title (your current location, though you can turn off Location-Based Naming in Settings by tapping the toggle). The text will become highlighted. Simply delete it, then type your new title.
