Dear Friend,

We have a very special celebration planned this week – and you’re invited!

Join us on Sunday at 4pm at our Raleigh Temple as we celebrate the anniversary of Founding Master Sotaesan's enlightenment and the birth of Won Buddhism. We'll kick off the occasion with live music, learn about Sotaesan's awakening, then enjoy:

  • Moving meditation with Qigong master Bob Lenberg
  • A lively drum circle
  • Reflecting on what Great Awakening means to each of us

This is truly an occasion for celebration, so the fun continues with refreshments and fellowship after our formal program concludes. Not only is this occasion marked as Won Buddhism's birthday, it is also the day our Reverends recognize their spiritual birthdays (as they stop celebrating their physical birthday once they are ordained). Come celebrate with them!

Sa-Gyeong Practice 2.jpg

Many people from our community have been practicing sa-gyeong journaling this month – the art of mindfully copying dharma teachings by hand. Everyone who has participated is warmly invited to bring your writings to be shared on our display table.

We can’t wait to see you.

Palms together,

Paige (Doh Jin) for Reverends WonGong & Shaun

Your Practice is the heartbeat of our dharma community.
