Dear Friend,
December is here. Let’s welcome the final month of 2025 together, this Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Raleigh Temple. Through meditation, we can unwrap the gift of this present moment. By practicing gentle stretching and silent sitting, we will ground ourselves in the here and now. What a perfect way to enter the holiday season!
Our temple community is full of curious folks from a variety of backgrounds and faith traditions. We recently spoke to fellow practitioner Sherita about what brings her to the temple.

How long have you been coming to the Raleigh Temple? What brought you here?
I started coming about eight months ago consistently. I was interested in learning how to meditate skillfully.
What keeps you coming back?
Ultimately, the peace that practicing consistently brings.
What’s your favorite meditation technique?
Sitting meditation and chanting.
What's something on your bucket list you hope to do one day?
See [the incredible multi-instrumentalist and composer] Olafur Arnalds in concert. It is my dream to see him perform live.
Thank you, Sherita, for being a wonderful part of our community!
The Gift that Keeps Giving
Our Raleigh Temple offers a practice space and spiritual home to all who seek it, year-round, thanks to the generosity of our members and donors. Would you consider making a special year-end donation this holiday season? Your contribution is truly a gift that keeps giving. Through your support, we can all continue to experience the many benefits of meditation in a safe and supportive environment.
Palms together,
Paige (Doh Jin) for Reverends WonGong & Shaun
Your Practice is the heartbeat of our dharma community.
