Dear Friend,
April has arrived. At our 4pm Sunday Raleigh Temple Meditation this week, we’ll celebrate the season of renewal with gentle stretching, seated meditation, and a unique form of meditative practice: Sa-gyeong. This tradition of mindfully handwriting dharma teachings allows us to connect our spirits to the wisdom of enlightened teachers.
Practicing Sa-gyeuon this week, I found the action of writing kept my body busy but relaxed. This made it a perfect way to slow down in the middle of a hectic day. Plus, because I was writing lines from our temple chanting book, I could almost hear the chanting voices of our community as I wrote.
Need a little inspiration? Check out Reverend WonGong’s beautiful writing below and join us Sunday to give it a try!

Don’t forget that starting April 23, our Thursday Dharma Study groups will begin reading “Many Voices, Many Insights” – a book of collected Dharma talks from practitioners right here in our community. Learn more and sign up for updates to join us!
Palms together,
Paige (Doh Jin) for Reverends WonGong & Shaun
Your Practice is the heartbeat of our dharma community.
