I am trying to run Zabbix and apparently SNMP v3 does not work correctly on the templates provided. You have a adjust the, 'Security Name' 'Authentication passphrase' 'Enter Privacy passphrase' in the .xml file

The details are there isn't a way to say "between these two peers is there a vpn up from this subnet/host to this subnet/host up?". You could get into a place where part of the VPN is working and part of it isn't but zabbix would see it as working. With one vpn per peer you know its always up or down and zabbix (really snmp) will show the correct info.

I have a couple of PA-7050 firewalls that I monitor from Solarwinds Orion via snmp v3. However, when I try to monitor those same devices via Zabbix (SNMP v3), I am unable to get an SNMP response via the Zabbix application. SNMPwalk works fine from the command line on the zabbix server. TCPdumps indicate that communication may be mixing DES and AES encryption in the middle of the communication exchanges. Seems to happen on Zabbix version 5 and version 3. Has anyone else had this experience or have a suggestion on places to look for a solution?

For the needs of our infrastructure, I built a Nutanix Template for the monitoring plateforme Zabbix. This template automatically discover containers, CVMs, hard drives, hypervisors and virtual machines.

To be able to use this template, the prism's SNMP server needs to beconfigured, the Nutanix MIB needs to be integrated in the zabbix serverand some macros needs to be set at the host level in Zabbix. We will gothrough these few steps in the next part of this post.

Resurrecting an old thread, but you might be interested in this functionality in zabbix version 6.x, monitoring Meraki via API. This would tell you about change in the status of the WAN, VPNs, and various other parameters.

There is a Zabbix template for UniFi here

TP-Link Support team has made templates for SNMP v2/v3, which can cooperate with Zabbix to monitor port traffic and CPU/memory utilization on TP-Link Managed Switches. For more information about Zabbix, please visit _monitoring

Welcome to use the templates and leave comments to share your experience and suggestion. If the template is helpful, the TP-Link team may consider uploading more templates on the Zabbix website to suit your requirements.

Thanks for these templates. I have been using the "Template Net TP-LINK SNMPv2" to monitor APs in three sites I'm administering. These sites have EAP115, EAP245, EAP110 Outdoor and EAP225 Outdoor units. Two of them are controlled by SW controller (Ubuntu 18.04) and one by OC200.

Appreciate your valued feedback. It's a pity that the templates are only for standalone switch, and the controller itself doesn't support SNMP at the time being. I will collect more feedback and forward this to the product team for further evaluation.

Hey, thanks for your reply!I am using zabbix 5.0, what graph feature are you referring to?
I want to monitor a 48 port switch. In dashboard if you want to add all the interfaces, there is not enough room to put all the widgets/interfaces.
If i use the screens feature, 2 column / 25 rows, it looks great but on the monitor you build it.
If i go to hosts -> graphs (per specific host), zabbix shows me half of interfaces, huge graphs and there are to many clicks till you get there (so not a solution)How are you monitoring a switch with many interfaces?
Thank you again for help.

I have the DL4100 (newer EX4 model) with the 3.2 zabbix agent running on it currently with no issues. I just copied the binaries from the extracted archives to the /sbin and /bin locations. The config data was pushed into /etc and then edited the configuration.

Monitoring was working great for a day and had to reboot due to a network change. All binaries that were put in place along with config have been removed/reset. I would just stick to SNMP monitoring with zabbix and use traps if necessary
