I'm trying to cut the size of a movie file when I export in FC. I need video to be in 1920X1080 apple prores, but the current size is 3.98GB. Any way to export smaller size video for online upload without loosing too much quality?? Thanks!
H.264 MOV is for viewing or watching in various usages. While Apple Prores is only for editing in Apple editing software FCP, this prores is good for editing but not for final use. Huge final output size make it useless.
Is there a way to encode/decode prores mov files (mostly decode)? I've been playing around with ffmpeg and mencoder/mplayer from the ubuntu repos, but they both report that it's an unknown codec. Totem as well.
I would however re-evaluate the Prores Raw, depending on what sony it might actually do worse than recording other formats, how again are we getting UHD prores raw out of a 6K sensor without cropping? that would be pixel binning/ line skipping.
