Too many videos are now age restricted so YouTube can try and get your ID Freetube doesn't work for me now and New Pipe doesn't allow age restricted videos to be viewed what new way can I view age restricted videos?

I don't remember YouTube blurring thumbnails for age-restricted videos in the past, but I've noticed that they're doing it now, even though I'm signed in and not using incognito mode. This doesn't apply to thumbnails in search results, but it applies to thumbnails on YouTube channels and within playlists.

Hi, ive had my account for a long while now, and a lot of my music stopped getting played. i looked through and they were still in my liked music, but when i tried to play the songs it just says they are unavailable and are skipped. i open the video on youtube (just remove the music subdomain to go straight to the official video) and they are age restricted, so i double check the restriction mode setting on my account and its off, so why arent they playing? (examples are Joyner Lucas - Sorry and Lil Darkie - AMV)

At this point, there is not much else that can be said ,and the community has resorted to mostly beating a dead horse and making jokes. So as of last night the YouTube app on my Nvidia Shield will no longer play "age restricted content." It gives me a warning prompt as it had in the past (annoying), but even after I confirm that I want to continue it gives me another message: "Somethign went wrong. Sorry, this content is age-restricted." and the only option is "Back."

Since today, I would need to provide an ID or credit card info to watch age-restricted videos, which I won't do for obvious reasons. However, this only happens on my non-owner channel. When I open "Settings > Add or manage your channel(s)", this is what I see. In red, my owner account, attached to my gmail address. I have never used this one to browse youtube. Colored blue, my channel (I think they call it brand account) on which I have all my videos, subscriptions, comments and playlists.

I have a birth date attached to my red/owner channel, and if I switch over to it, I can watch age-restricted content without further verification. But there is no birth date attached to the blue channel at all, and when opening its Google Account settings, I can not add one either.

If I back up to the Youtube home screen on my CC, I can see my username in the upper left corner. This same account has no problem playing age-restricted YT vids on any other device except the Chromecast. How can I get these videos to play properly on my CC? Thanks much.

for about 2 weeks now i can't watch age restricted videos on the YouTube App for PS5. It works on every other device, but not with the ps5. Has anyone else have that problem or solution? We had that problem last year on the ps4.

Do you think it'll be advisable to shift to iPhone? I'm tempted because of the longevity and performance but I was worried if I would feel restricted with an iPhone. If so, which points from the above will I face issues with?

There are some youtube videos that are restricted to India only and don't show on search from any other region. Is there any way to watch them apart from using a VPN? (I tried some, but most of them don't have Indian IP on the free version)

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one experiencing this, but literally overnight I went from being able to watch anything I wanted, which has been the case for 10 years now, to not being able to watch any video that's age restricted on my Xbox One.
