Its really a good plan, go ahead and my suggestion is to keep some buffer amount for maintenance initially and keep some limit on quantity of water per day per head (like 10 lit per day per person) accordingly take some nominal charge from families to keep them more responsible to use drinking water, same can be used for maintenance.

regarding funds, please identify how many of us doing jobs and accordingly fix minimum amount and no max limit, if they want to give more please welcome and once the funds are okay fine or else we will charge some min to our village families and finally we will take a call on funds raising.

As you know that ground water is becoming more polluted by each passing day, We recently tried to check TDS level of our village water and found it as 1000 mg/Ltr in Bore pump (at the entrance) water & 700 mg/Ltr in village tank water. Unfortunately everyone drinks Bore pump water as it tastes good :). As TDS level greater than 200mg/Ltr is unhealthy for human body, We are planning to install "Aqua mineral 250 Ltr/hr water purifier system with sandcorbon technology" at the village water tank.

Requirements for water purifier system:

2 synthetic water tanks each 2000 Ltr capacity: One for storing incoming water and other for storing purified water.

An aprox 8 ft* 6 ft room for water purifier machine installation along with purified water storage tank.

Cost estimates:

Aqua Purifier machine equipment - 90,000

2 synthetic tanks of 2000 Ltr capacity - 15,000 aprox

Room Construction (8*6 min) - 50,000 aprox

Connecting pipes, plumper cost + etc -  5,000 approx

Total - 1,60,000 Rs aprox.

First we decided to build a room in a free space next to ShriKrishna temple and set up a meeting on 16/09/2013 with elders for approval but they advised us to use space near water tank at the entrance. Also they agreed to bring astrologer and find a suitable place for the room leaving remaining place to construct a temple.

Once place is decided by astrologer, we will come up with a plan for implementation. Meanwhile, we just want to group together with seniors for suggestions & help in raising funds.
