Description: |
Position Responsibilities: • Requires strong understanding of SQL Server Security internals for databases/applications • Ability to design and implement security configurations using best practices and standards • Requires knowledge of SOX controls and best practices for database security under SOX compliance. • Knowledge of role based security models along with understanding of Active Directory best practices for databases/applications • Comprehensive knowledge of database administration (design, installation & troubleshooting) of current MS SQL Server, and Windows Server Enterprise platforms. • Systems administration on operation systems with the Windows server family (Windows 2000, Windows 2003/2008 Enterprise Clustered Environments). • Extremely detail-oriented and able to follow standard methodologies for troubleshooting and development • Experienced in SQL Reporting • Experienced in SSIS security best practices/implementation
Position Requirements: • 10 years related industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years building and managing SQL • Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL Server : Full lifecycle development of complex system and application software • Bachelors Degree in MIS or CIS or equivalent job experience • Experience working with Active Directory and Role Based Security for SQL Server. • Microsoft certification a strong plus • Ability to serve as a Subject Matter Expert for SOX database compliance needs. • Ability to develop and implement data security guidelines while making data available to those authorized to have access • Ability to ensure the technical integrity of corporate databases by protecting against the loss or misuse or information and designing backup/recovery strategies • Ability to provide database design, implementation and performance tuning consulting services • Success at working with clients to understand the business needs and develop effective, scalable and maintainable database instances to meet the business requirements deadlines and deliverables • SQL Server 2008/2005/2000 security experience • SSIS/DTS programming • Experience with partitioning, mirroring and replication • Working knowledge of programming languages such as .NET / C# or others • Creating SQL Server extended stored procedures • Experience with ODBC and ADO.NET |
