Description:
The job description is fairly generic and reflects
broader DevOps capabilities, but the specific need for this role is centered on
Salesforce DevOps, Release Engineering, and Platform Operations maturity. We
are not looking for a release coordinator or someone focused on manually
executing deployments. We are looking for an engineer who can own and evolve
how software moves through our Salesforce delivery lifecycle.
Key areas of ownership include:
Release engineering and deployment orchestration
CI/CD ownership and continuous improvement
Gearset platform and pipeline ownership
Environment strategy, refresh planning, and
governance
Release readiness standards and deployment governance
Risk identification and operational maturity
improvements
Automation of manual processes
Cross-functional partnership across development, QA,
admin, and leadership
The ideal candidate has experience entering
environments with fragmented or inconsistent processes and successfully
implementing scalable, automated, and reliable delivery practices.
How to prioritize candidates:
Strong DevOps fundamentals are critical (CI/CD
design, Git-based workflows, automation, pipeline ownership)
Salesforce experience is valuable, especially around
metadata deployments, environment strategy, and platform-specific release
challenges, but it is not required if the candidate has strong DevOps depth and
can ramp quickly
If we have to prioritize, we are looking for someone
who:
Has owned and improved delivery systems at scale (not
just operated them)
Brings a DevOps engineering mindset first, and can
apply it to Salesforce
Ideal profile: a blend of DevOps engineering strength
+ enough Salesforce/platform exposure.
