Title: Payment Business Analyst
Duration: Long term contract
Location: - Seattle, WA (USA) – Hybrid

We are seeking a Payments Business Systems Analyst to support retail and digital payment initiatives. The role focuses on requirements definition, payment gateway and POS/PED integrations, delivery support, and production readiness across transaction‑based platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Elicit and document business and system requirements for payments platforms

·         Translate business needs into user stories, functional specs, process flows, and data mappings

·         Work closely with engineering teams on APIs, data models, and payment flows

·         Support Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness

·         Support QA and UAT activities, defect triage, and stakeholder sign‑off

·         Contribute across the payments lifecycle (authorization, settlement, refunds, reconciliation, chargebacks)

·         Support integrations with payment gateways, processors, POS/PED systems, and third‑party vendors

·         Assist with production support and incident analysis

·         Support PCI compliance documentation and audit activities

Required Skills & Experience

·         5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst

·         Strong experience in payments, retail, or digital commerce environments

·         Hands‑on knowledge of payment gateways, processors, and transaction systems

·         Experience with APIs, integration flows, and data models

·         Agile or hybrid delivery experience

·         Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

·         POS/PED integration experience

·         PCI compliance exposure

·         Vendor‑led or multi‑partner payment integrations
