Azure VMWare Solution Architect

We are seeking for an experienced Cloud migration consultant for a long-term engagement for Microsoft Azure VMWare Solution team. the role involves providing customer environment assessment, strategize and assist with Customers move on-prem or Hybridge VMWare workloads to run in Azure VMWare Solution (AVS).

Pre-qualification:

• VMWare Expertise: explore and assess customers’ current VMWare environment and IT infrastructure set up. VMWare certificate is a must.
• IT Infrastructure Expertise: solid understanding of Enterprise level of IT architect, be able to mapping out workloads based on customers IT Architect, and creating migration plan together with Azure Migration Engineers.
• Understanding of Azure: familiar with full set of Azure Enterprise services, such as Azure Active Directory, HSM, Azure monitoring, etc
• Excellent communication: this is a customer facing role, excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide customer with Independent review of Enterprise/Solution Architecture, Documenting detailed Architectural Decisions, Validation of architectural/design decisions.
• Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Cloud Infrastructure Services hosted in multiple cloud environments.
• Provides End-to-end Enterprise/Solution Architecture, Gathering of Requirements, Constraints, Assumptions & Risks (RCARs), Continuous improvement services.
• Produce Ransomware Assessments, Recovery Time/Point Objectives (RTO/RPO), Assessment of current BC/DR state and Scalability, Resiliency and Performance assessments.
• Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to management and customers.
• Provide connectivity and utilization support to Cloud Infrastructure Services managed cloud environment customers.
• Provide customer support through chat, email and capacity request ticketing.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the cloud migration, deployment and management.
• Demonstrate experience with Linux and Windows workload using cloud technologies with automation.
• Must be able to deploy new cloud production, staging, and test environment.
• Should be able to develop with a DevOps approach for both Linux and Windows workloads using proven, cutting-edge cloud technologies.
• Should be able to automate and deploy cloud infrastructures.
• Should be able to identify the most agile, scalable infrastructure, and select the best cloud services and technologies for customer projects and plan all implementation procedures.
• Demonstrated experience writing software scripts using languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby.
• Possess one active Mid-Level or advanced cloud certification (i.e. VMWare, AWS, Azure, GCP).
