We are seeking an experienced Senior Technology Consultant to lead and deliver end-to-end AWS cloud migration engagements across multiple client portfolios. You will own the technical strategy, architecture design, migration execution, and stakeholder communication to ensure all in-scope applications are successfully migrated to Amazon Web Services by the end of August. This is a high-impact, deadline-driven role requiring both deep AWS expertise and strong client-facing skills.

Required Qualifications & Experience

AWS & Cloud Expertise

·         8+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 5 years in AWS cloud architecture and migration delivery.

·         Proven track record of delivering large-scale, multi-application AWS migrations on time.

·         Deep hands-on proficiency across core AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, EKS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, Direct Connect.

·         Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), Application Migration Service (MGN), and Server Migration Service.

·         Strong knowledge of AWS networking, security groups, NACLs, Transit Gateway, and VPN/Direct Connect.

Technical Skills

·         Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.

·         Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes / Amazon EKS.

·         CI/CD pipeline tooling: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline.

·         Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.

·         Database migration expertise: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL → RDS/Aurora.

Consulting & Leadership

·         Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent client engagements and competing priorities.

·         Excellent stakeholder communication skills — able to translate technical complexity for executive audiences.

·         Experience managing cross-functional teams including client staff, offshore teams, and third-party vendors.

·         Strong risk identification and mitigation mindset with a bias for action.

Certifications

Required (at least one):

•       AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

•       AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

Highly Desirable:

•       AWS Certified Database Specialty

•       AWS Certified Security – Specialty

•       Certified Cloud Migration Professional or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

Migration Planning & Architecture

·         Conduct discovery and assessment of client application portfolios to define migration scope, dependencies, and risk.

·         Design AWS target architectures (lift-and-shift, re-platform, or re-architect) aligned to each client's requirements and timeline.

·         Develop detailed migration runbooks, wave plans, and cutover checklists for each application.

·         Define infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Migration Execution

·         Lead hands-on migration of applications across compute, databases, storage, networking, and security layers on AWS.

·         Coordinate and manage parallel workstreams across multiple client environments simultaneously.

·         Execute cutovers with minimal downtime, ensuring rollback plans are tested and ready.

·         Resolve technical blockers escalated by client or internal engineering teams

Client Engagement & Governance

·         Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients throughout the engagement.

·         Facilitate weekly steering committee updates, status reporting, and risk/issue management.

·         Manage scope, timeline, and quality against the August deadline with proactive escalation when at risk.

·         Ensure all migrations comply with client security, compliance, and governance requirements.

Post-Migration Stabilization

·         Support hypercare period post-cutover, ensuring application stability and performance on AWS.

·         Document final architecture, operational runbooks, and handover materials for client teams.

·         Provide recommendations for ongoing cloud optimization (cost, performance, security).
