Technology Architect – Generative AI & Python

Location: New York, NY 10036 (Onsite/Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technology Architect with expertise in Generative AI, Python, and AI/ML technologies to lead the design and development of innovative AI-powered enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecting scalable applications, implementing GenAI use cases, developing Python-based solutions, and integrating AI capabilities into business workflows.

This role requires a combination of technical leadership, solution architecture, and hands-on development experience to deliver intelligent automation and data-driven solutions within a complex enterprise environment, preferably in Financial Services or Wealth Management.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design and architect enterprise-grade AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Define technical roadmaps and implementation strategies for AI-enabled applications.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures leveraging modern AI frameworks and cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Generative AI & AI/ML Development

• Design and implement Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Develop prompt engineering strategies to optimize AI model performance and output quality.
• Build AI-powered applications, copilots, chatbots, intelligent search, and automation solutions.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging GenAI technologies and frameworks.
• Apply machine learning concepts and techniques to solve business problems.

Python Development

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications, services, and automation solutions.
• Build data processing pipelines and AI/ML workflows.
• Develop REST APIs and integrate third-party platforms and AI services.
• Create reusable Python frameworks and libraries to accelerate solution delivery.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Data & Integration

• Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and processing solutions.
• Integrate AI models with enterprise systems through APIs and microservices.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to support AI initiatives.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are followed.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Conduct architecture reviews and establish best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, data, infrastructure, and security.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with architecture and solution design responsibilities.
• Strong experience in Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Expertise in Prompt Engineering and AI solution development.
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Experience with Python scripting, automation, data processing, and API integration.
• Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning fundamentals.
• Experience designing scalable enterprise applications and microservices architectures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Financial Services, Wealth Management, or Capital Markets.
• Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI, and model evaluation.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, RAG architectures, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with data analytics and data engineering concepts.

Nice-to-Have

• Financial and Wealth Management domain expertise.
• Experience implementing AI-powered productivity and automation solutions.
• Exposure to modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face, or similar technologies.
