Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) of Canberra Chapter and Gujarat Samaj of the ACT (GSA) are organising a family picnic / get-together to celebrate Makar-Sankranti festival.

WHEN - from 11 am on Sunday 14 January 2018

WHERE - Bonner Oval - Burnum Burnum Close, Bonner ACT 2914

11.00- 11.30  Arrival and informal talk –meet and greet

11.30  to 12.15 -  Indian traditional games

12.15  to 12.30 - Small talk on significance of Makar-sankranti 

12.30  onwards  - Kite flying

There will be games for all age groups and Vegetarian Indian food will be available for purchase at nominal price.

***** COME ALONG WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO CELEBRATE MAKAR SANKRANTI & KITE FLYING FESTIVAL *****

Please bring along your hats, sunscreen, rugs, chairs and sports shoes as appropriate to you.

GSA will be selling kites and strings imported from India for this event. You can buy Indian kites as well as string at very reasonable rates or you may bring your own kites as you wish.
