Dear all,
The Election Commission of India has initiated an online survey for Overseas Indian Citizens to engage them with the electoral process. The link may be seen at www.everyvotecounts.in. An online competition is also a part of the initiative to incentivise the target population and seek their contribution to the cause ‘Every Indian Vote counts’. The survey is available for two months while the online competition will take entries for a month w.e.f. 1st November 2016.
You may be aware that following demands from various sections of NRIs, the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 was amended w.e.f. 10.02.2011 to make special provisions for citizens of India residing outside the country to get enrolled as an elector in the constituency in which his/her place of residence in India as mentioned in his passport is located. A brochure for overseas Indians is attached .

All are requested to take up the survey and competition.
