Iam also having the same issue, I had it on a different laptop and it worked fine then i bought a new laptop and now it doesnt show in my launcher, i have called EA several times and they keep telling me that this is an issue they are working to resolve but I have been 2 months now trying to figure out how to fix this problem. I have installed Ea app and that didnt work, I installed origin and that didnt work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times both apps and the game. Still not working. I have spent several days working to try and figure out what is the problem and still no answers.

Did you purchase it through Origin or through the old EA "Sims 3" online store? I've had issues since the upgrade to the new app. It does not see that you own content anymore depending where/how you bought it. If it doesn't see you own it, it blocks it from showing up in game.

I quit playing my ea games because ever since the upgrade to the new app, all content purchased through the old Sims 3 online store keeps showing I never purchased it even though I did and it is installed. While they attempt to fix this bug, it will sporadically work, then quit working again.

I decided to try again and the content was there yesterday. Today it is once again not showing content bought through the old Sims 3 online store and the app shows I don't own it, so it's blocking it from being usable or showing up in the game.

@lgaudet When you install TS3 from the physical disk you install the DRM SecuROM and SafeDisc. SecuROM is a rootkit with root privileges. SafeDisc requires the latest released to market disk you own in the optical drive to play. You need the manual 1.67 super patcher that will trigger auto patch to version 1.69 to remove SecuROM and SafeDisc. You have to patch to be able to run all expansion packs. Downloading from the EA app using the open downloads dashboard does the same thing in one step as opposed to using the launcher downloads tab. The EA app is meant to replace Origin for pc users. Origin is now slanted for mac users. Origin redirects pc users to an EA app but I don't think it's the same as EA app (an EA app like launcher?). There is at least two version of the EA app - EA BETA and EA. Don't use the EA BETA. The sims3.com store has always had issues. Much of the thesims3.com site features are now available in the game. Three weeks ago I did a complete fresh re install of TS3 using only the EA app. I used the in game option open downloads dashboard to install store items- open downloads dashboard. Origin was uninstalled when I installed the EA app (not EA beta). I was able to recover my sims from the Exchange in cas. My game has been stable (store items stay installed) since the re install. You can access the sims profile and wall from in game option. These changes could mean both Origin and thesims3.com may go away some day. There is a back door to the store but it looks like it still needs work. There is a tab with the sim money sign that says store but it doesn't work (yet). The open downloads dashboard works by clicking download - this downloads AND installs items to the launcher download page in one click. Just checked thesims3.com store is working using the back door. I don't see the exchange or my studio (yet?). All I can say is the EA app (not the EA Beta) is stable and very playable.

@lgaudet Sims 3 Generations is an expansion pack and is therefore installed through a game launcher or via disc. It has nothing to do with the Sims 3 Store missing content issue, which only applies to the content downloaded through the store site.

Hello! This is the first challenge my friend and I created. I had lots of fun making this challenge and I hope you enjoy it as well. I created this in only a day so there may be things that need to be added or taken away once I go through the challenge myself. Happy Simming!

as i was looking for legacy challenges that were being updated as new packs came out, i had the thought "hey, why not just write one myself?" so here we are! i'll do by best to add new generations as time goes on, but seeing as this already has 35 (!!) generations, i think we'll be okay for a bit.

So I came up with this new sims legacy challenge, i call it Wild apple tree. It consists of 10 generation and each gen has specifics to complete before moving forward. I haven't come up with the storyline between each generation just yet but other then that I think it's done. I feel i might have gotten a bit carried away and if i add more to each generation it might be a little to much but at the same time I feel it has room for improvement and new ideas so if anyone have any input please feel free to comment and let me know what you think.

My husband and I worked on this together... It's a Legacy Challenge based on TV families from shows... Of course I left out the families with horrible personalities (Such as the Cosby Show (Bill Cosby) and All in the Family (Let's face it, Archie was a racist... But, hey, if you want to add them into your challenge, that is entirely up to you!

Growing up in a large family, you were used to being invisible, after all, you were the youngest boy. You meet the love of your life and together you move into a small house, and you follow your dream of becoming a lounge singer. Your story begins as a young adult.

After a long successful line of entertainers, you decide to take a different approach. After you move out, you fall in love with a non-entertainer, get married, and move into a house big enough for 8 people. Your story begins as a young adult.

Inspired by your father, you decided to follow in his footsteps and join a criminal justice career. You worked from the ground up and became a successful judge, married a beautiful woman, and settled down in a mansion in the fanciest part of town. Your story begins as a young adult.

As a young adult, you begin to resent your mother for having you way too young and you begin to put a rift between you and your mom so you move out and get married to a swinger. Your story begins when you turn into a young adult.

Though you never wanted a partner, you love children. You have always wanted to be a parent. The idea of giving a small sim a home and love for the rest of their lives makes your heart swell. You want to be that for someone.

Until you hit elderhood. Caught by surprise, you meet someone who you instantly connect with. You both have lived your own lives and find yourself completely and fully in love, completely and fully unexpectedly.

Not only did you love houses, but you loved the broken-down wayward houses at the end of the street. The ones that no one cared for anymore. The ones you felt must have been loved once a very long time ago.

You set off into the world with a goal to turn what was seen as unfixable into beauty. You flip every house on your street, every old and worn down house is made new. You slowly but surely build up the neighborhood into something brand new.

As you grew into teenhood, you eventually tested the waters and started to date! It just made sense. You together just made sense. From first friends to first loves, this was a forever thing from the start. It was rare, but it was happening for the two of you.

You work hard on your studies. Homework comes before everything else, and if not that, you can be found in a book. You sometimes feel the ache of missing your first love, but you focus on school to dull the pain.

You grow up feeling very passionate about the environment and the world around you. Your parent was a MESS. You had a fun childhood, but their constant hobby jumping was terrible for the environment.

You spend your days repairing windmills and solar panels, showering in rain water, painting to make a living, and attending protests in the city when possible. Even though you hate leaving your isolated home.

You live for being alone, but mostly because you find it hard to talk to people. Creating real connections can be difficult but one day you hope to have another someone in your life who is also content to live in the quiet.

You age up and instantly move to Del Sol Valley where you join the acting career. You soon meet a sim who is mega famous but their personality does not match up to what the public sees. You fall in love quickly and get married as a young adult.
