So... either theres yet another hidden thing I cannot find in IM or theres no way to set imported objects to their original locations. This is a menu item in S3D. I see nothing in IM which is the equivalent and the only way I can see doing it is by moving the objects manually which sucks.

In the meantime S3D will only let you use the Base Template Profile in the dual extrusion wizard which sucks even more!. They say you can set that using the Configuration wizard but I do not see that and I also see no way to add a profile to the list in the Configuration wizard. Don't these guys know anything about UI design?

The good news is I can switch profiles after the wizard creates the group and it makes a good set up.

Nope... Using dual extrusion gcode from S3D does not work at all. The N2 starts printing at 0,0,0 as though it does not know the bed dimensions.

The attached is PLA done using IM. If the 2 files match up at the bottom Z you can do dual extrusion. Otherwise you cannot move one of the 2 objects in z manually.

Dual extrusion via S3D does not seem to be possible because it seems the nozzle offset does not work with the N2... nether does the gcode version:

M218 T0 X25 Y0; Set offset to 25mm

M218 T1 X0 Y0;Leave the offset at 0

This above is ignored by the N2.

The M218 is not directly supported by Marlin firmware. Did you choose Reprap/Marlin style while you create the profile?
I think then you need to mark the box 'directly write offset in gcode'. That's how dual extrusion implemented in IM.

Yes that worked, but now the S3D preview is no longer usable. It works though!

I am in China. But with great efforts to climb across the GFW... I am a programmer, so I know little tricks...

So... What does DFW stand for?

GFW = Great Fire Wall.
Actually, Chinese internet is something a parallel world to the real Internet.
Even for me, I cannot accross it all the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes not...

So... We can't get in? I guess that would figure. Not that I could actually be able to read anything, but the google translate (if allowed) would be interesting.

You could get in. But if the government don't want to you to get in.. They could simply shutdown the 'gate'.
