Anybody know how to tell IdeaWare to use the right side extruder? I see no way to tell it which extruder to use.

Click the model and select View/Pan. On the left side there is a wrench icon, have it selected and you will be able to choose which extruder to be assigned to the model.

If it displays 'Primary Extruder' it means your Ideamaker has not been configured for dual extruders.

Select 'Printer' menu then Configuration Wizard and you can reconfigure Ideamaker for dual-extruder setup.

Before you start printing, make sure you heat up the corresponding extruder - after you choose a template, click Advance and check Support and Raft/Cooling.

Thanks. The trick was you have to be in View/Pan to get the right mode for the Wrench. I'd suggest moving this so that there is no mode for the extruder selection and it is accessed right away.
Now... is there a way to tell the slicer to slow down on the first layer or... possibly change the extrusion width on the first layer? Otherwise it's hard to get the extrusions to initially stick on that first layer... and please do not suggest a raft!

In the advanced settings of the slice template, you can find the first layer speed. And we don't offer a standalone option for firstlayer flowrate right now. But you could still adjust it on the fly with the tune menu on the touchscreen.

Bottom layers flowrate option is there though? If you don't mind to have all the bottom layers overextruded...

Slowing it down helped... Getting the nozzle heights perfectly aligned helps even more! I'm getting awesome results and 100% reliability for now with PLA. I think I'll wait before trying ABS.
