Is it possible to port get multiple modifiers on RainTPL 2

I just know RainTPL 3 have multiple modifiers (like {$title|touppercase|cut:7}), I still on RainTPL 2 and I just want to know is it possible to port this feature from RainTPL 3 to RainTPL 2. I don't want to upgrade because RainTPL 2 is really stable.
