June and July Climbing Schedule
May 25, 2010

Flowing is a revised climbing schedule for June and July:

Glacier Peak: June 5th and 6th

Saturday or Sunday hikes to Muir: June 19th through July 3rd.

Mike Lynch will organize one day weekend hikes to Muir. Both the climb
team and support people should include at least one hike to Muir
during this period. If there is anyone else who would like to organize
a hike please let us know.

Emmons Route Mt. Rainier July 10th and 11th: We will attempt the
Emmons Glacier
route up Rainier. The roads and route should be in good shape. This
will also give the group more time to work on conditioning.

Final Assent July:

Wednesday 21: Paradise to Pebble Creek
Thursday 22: Pebble Creek to Muir
Friday 23: Muir to Ingraham Flats
Saturday 24: Ingraham Flats to Summit
Sunday 25: Return to Paradise

Stronger climbers have the option of going straight to Muir on
Wednesday or meeting us on Thursday at Muir. The schedule will break
up the 10,000' assent into four days allowing us to survey, have time
to recover, and provide plenty of photo ops. The training climbs
before are important. As many people as possible to participate need
to participate. Glacier is a moderate climb with less effort than
Baker with a longer approach. The Glacier route will be in good shape
in early June. The summit attempt in early July will be a test and a
good hard dry run for the final assent with two weeks to recover. The
one day hikes to Muir need to be attended by as many of the climbers
as possible and anyone wishing to be part of the support group. It
would be best if there are two or three Muir hikes between early June
and July. They can be done anytime. We will also have a GPS training
session in July. The date and time will be announced later.

I already have a trip planned with my mate, so won't be climbing
Glacier Peak next weekend. Muir trips should be no problem.

Erick, are your Baker pics up somewhere? How may one view them?

Erick, everybody else has used the snapfish account. Nobody has downloaded any picture to the ftp site yet, We all agreed to put the pictures in one location that can be used for the next years.
   Thank you,

I would like to use Snapfish, but it doesn't support large resolution picture. Big mountain require big resolution. Also since I spent so much time on summit!! I took a lot of photos plus I have 500 megs of HD video I would like share.
