Little League Schedule/info

Hello Members of Rainier District Little League Tee and Toss Team #Two, 2012!

It was a whirlwind of activity at the play field today and a few things were sorted out. We learned what teams our kids are on, who will be coaching them and received early information about the season's schedule.

Some initial information (more to follow as I learn more from the powers that be):

-We will have practices on Tuesdays and Saturdays through 4/17. 
-Practices will be at the Rainier Beach #1 Playfield (Cloverdale and 47th: note that this is different than what we were told at the field today. Apparently Lakeridge, not Lakewood, was the previously designated field and this is farther from where most folks live and is also apparently much more muddy/soggy in the spring).
-Practice times: TUE- 5:30 to 6:30; Sat: 1:30 to 3:00 pm (note that this is one hour earlier than the start time we were told at the field today)
-Games will start after 4/17 and we don't yet have the schedule for these games
-Most, if not all, games will be on the Brighton Playfields (Aki Karose).
-We will choose a team name during the first few practices (Tee and Toss Team #Two isn't very inspiring)

First practice: Tuesday 4/3 at 5:30 pm at the Rainier Beach #1 field. Simply bring your child with their glove, appropriate clothing and something to drink.

Weather Line- 206 233 - 0055. This is the number to call to see if games are cancelled. We'll try to practice even if it is raining though we may try to find alternate covered locations for this. For now, I'll plan on using this email group to alert folks about any changes.

I have no contact information yet for Kobe and am awaiting this from the league administrators. So, we should have three more players to add to the email-group later if possible).

Once games start, we won't be practicing on Saturdays too, right?  I thought games were on Sat.
