Group tree for subreport data

I have a dummy primary report which creates data that is then linked
into a subreport. The subreport is actually the report that displays
all data. Unfortunately, when the report is displayed nothing shows up
in the group tree because it displays at the main report level.

Question: How do I display data in a sub-report in the group tree?
