FRED announces December Tournaments at RCFC

Rain City Fencing Center will be closing out the year with a variety of tournaments. There's something here for everyone!

Thursday, December 19: E & Under Epee #1

Saturday, December 21: RCFC Youth #2
Foil events for all Youth age groups, plus Y14 epee.

Sunday, December 22: Home for the Holidays Open (WWFC/WWEC #3)
Mixed foil at 10:00 AM, mixed epee at 1:00 PM.

For all events:

For the Home for the Holidays Open, entry fee is $25 per event or a WWFC/WWEC season pass.

For all other events, entry fee is $20 per event.

Tournament format is one round of pools, 100% promotion to direct eliminations. Medals for the top 4 in each event will be awarded.

Current (2019-2020) USA Fencing competitive membership is required. Please join or renew your membership online at https://member.usafencing.org/ before the tournament. Foreign fencers need to sign up for a free Foreign Fencer membership.

Full regulation uniform, including underarm protector, fencing pants and long socks, is required. Also make sure your weapons will pass the weight test on the strip!

All foil fencers at all competition levels must have masks with conductive bibs.

Foil fencers who wear a hard plastic chest protector must wear an FIE-approved padded protector. Hard plastic chest protectors are still required for women and optional for men in all weapons.

Epee fencers may not use foil masks, since the conductive bib can ground out the opponent's point.

Please pre-register on AskFRED so we know how many referees we'll need.
