Sat Nam Carolyn, My intuition tells that this is probably an unconscious homophobic communication and Satya Singh or whomever is responsible, forgot to include the Rainbow Sangat's proposal in the EYF's evening program scheduled. This has put me off presenting anything. On another level, I think our 'community' is in some ways shy and this is also a wake up call for us to be more on the ball and 'come out' more prominent for next year at Chateau Anand 2013. However, I agree with you that we should put up a notice at the camp and spread the word so we can at least meet up 2 or 3 times - depending on number of people attending. Any suggestions for the notice? Shall we include our photo? We could meet up at the tea lounge like last year. If the group is big then we move it somewhere else. We also need to sort out our own communication website, because we hardly ever get any replies or hardly reaches anyone from the Rainbow Sangat. Blessings Raghurai Singh

Sat Nam, I was surprised to see that it was not there. I am sorry to hear that the Rainbow Sangat`s suggestion ist not included in the programme.  But I am delighted to hear that there is a suggestion from Rainbow Sangat this year.  I attended the festival for the first time last year and really missed any visible presence of others like me!

Unfortuntely, I can`t be at the festival this year, but I will be there next year and am keen to make the rainbow sangat visible.

thanks for informing us about this evolution... try to come together in an informal way during the festival... Put some posters up and create some discussion! It is important that gay people feel welcome there too!

I can also not attend the festival this year as I am breaking up my tents in Africa. But next year I want to help organizing the rainbow-sangat towards the EU yoga festival.

Sat Nam dear Rainbow Sangat,

So sorry to hear the EYF has not included any mention of the RS program proposals, this must be the third year the RS has sent forth a proposal so it is quiet odd it has been totally ommited.

As Raghurai points out, we as a group are also slow at coming forward ourselves and it would seem we need to be more visible and proactive as a group. Does the group need to be more cohesive within its self? if so how do we achive this?

That said unfortunately I myself  will not be at this years EYF.

I am based in London, and frequently work in Ireland and Germany and hoping to connect with the international RS on any level asap.

wahe guru  - i am back into the loop, also back into the group of which i fell out for some reasons...

i spoke to adi yesterday who designes the program. for being included in the printed version we were simply to late  - for not being included in the up to date electronic version i would suggest some form of "guerrilla advertising" for announcing at least 1 meeting in the evening to agree on next years activities:
(just a brainstorming)
- flyers with the rainbow flag & the adi shakti + the info which day to meet
- poster at the bulletin board

my feeling is that we have to find a structure ourselves to face the structure (which is inherent homophobic).
occupied space (which has a link to our visibility or non-visibility) will never be given up without some sort of pressure...

Thank you for your brain storming ideas!

Regarding forming our own structure, I feel this is a very important point, untill we form our own core with really can not move forward. 

As many of us cannot attend the EYF it may be an idea to also organise meeting somewhere else , 

at other international events or in smaller groups in our own countrys.

anyone got any suggestions on this?
