| Join us as we breathe hope into tomorrow through our collective action today!Across America, the new Poor People's Campaing is organizing Poor People's hearings to magnify the voices of the poor, low-wage workers and faith leaders to combat the four evils of racism, economic exploitation, militarism, and environmental destruction. Elected officials and those running for office will be in attendance. They will hear the voices of the poor people who have traditionally lacked a voice in elections. We come together with Rev. William Barber and Rev. Liz Theoharis, the Poor People's Campaign Co-chairs to grow our multi-racial movement in the streets and translate that into an electoral movement at the ballot box.

Second Saturday Workday
Our monthly workday is coming up Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 9-12. We will put you to work cooking lunch, sorting food and clothing donations, cleaning, gardening, etc. Afterward, we will enjoy lunch and table fellowhsip together.

As Cherith Brook moves into a new stage, we're creating volunteer teams who will work together on specific projects. We invite you to join a team that interests you, something you either would like to learn more about or can give leadership to.

We're forming the following teams:
- Shower Support Team: Many of you have already helped us with this. Pick a shower day and come volunteer while we're open! Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday from 8-11:15am
- Laundry Team: Collects and folds laundry in the afternoons after shower days. Pick a day: Tuesday or Thursday.
- Morning Meal Team: Love to cook? Either cook in your own home and bring it to us before a shower morning, or let us know you're coming and cook the morning of! We especially need help preparing for Mondays and Thursdays.
- Food Rescue Team: Rescue food from local grocery stores and bring it back and sort it at Cherith Brook. Food needs to be picked up around 11am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. We can plug you into a rotation for this, if needed.
- Maintenance Team: Help keep the Cherith Brook building and grounds running. Help could especially be used on Tuesday afternoons.
