Medicine is all around us! In this introductory workshop series Finn Cunningham, writer of the Mental Health Cookbook, will cover basic medicine making with an emphasis on plants that grow abundantly in the Bay Area. Located in South Berkeley, these garden workshops will be hands-on and each class will send you home with an herbal tonic and the skills and knowledge to start making your own healing elixirs. Come learn how to make infusion, decoctions, tinctures and cordials. You'll come away with a a zine full of plant info and resources as well as an herbal remedy of your making.

Come learn how to make infused oils, salves and herbal soaks for first aid and general skin care. You'll come away with a a zine full of plant info and resources as well as an herbal remedy of your making.

*Kitchen Tonics, July 28th, 1-3pm
Come learn how to make infused vinegars, oils, salts and honey for everyday use in the kitchen. You'll have the chance to create your own herbal concoction while learning about the healing benefits of these simple kitchen tonics.

*Flower Essences, August 4th, 1-3pm
Come learn about the energetic medicine of flower essences. We'll cover benefits, dosages, and how to create your own flower essences. This workshop will also involve a plant meditation and some time spent in communication with plants.
