HE BEGAN PANICKING& SUFFOCATING IMMEDIATELY. SLIT OPEN / CUT IN HALF DEADLY FOOD CONTAINERS BEFORE DISPOSING TO KEEP ANIMALS SAFE. - jsjMeet Rowdy. 3yrs old, 65lbs, and underweight. This big, beautiful shepherd needs a little extra help right now. Rowdy has clearly been through a lot, and he’s still trying to figure out what’s going on and who he can trust.
People familiar with his past say his name is Rowdy and that his owner hasn’t been around for quite some time. We first met him after he had been on the run for days with his head stuck in a cheese puff container before animal control was finally able to catch him.
During his evaluation, Rowdy seemed like a duck out of water. Simple things like doorways and slippery floors were unfamiliar to him. But even though he was unsure and a little nervous (and drooled a bit from the stress), he allowed us to gently pick him up, move him, rub on him, and even check his teeth without any issues. He never once offered anything but polite behavior.
Rowdy is a good dog who just needs patience, understanding, and someone willing to help him learn that the world can be a safe place. If you have experience with shepherds or shy dogs and the heart to help one heal, Rowdy could really use you.
