New RT Site

The content from the Rails Tutor Redmine site is now moved over to the new installation. So the deployment is now officially complete. As I mentioned in my last email I have more features planned, but this at least gets us to the level of functionality we had before, with a few new bells and whistles.

Next steps:

1) User accounts were NOT ported over, so if you are working on courseware or want to have an account on the site, you will need to re-create your account and then I will add you as a collaborator if you so request. Just drop me a line to let me know if you want edit rights.

2) Please publicize the new site - we could use a little more publicity, which will hopefully help drive more authorship.

3) I removed the names from documents that hadn't been started on the actual wiki. If you are actively writing them off-line, please update the courseware outline ( http://railstutor.org/projects/rails-tutor/wiki/Courseware_Outline ) with your name and "In Progress." Please post updates to those documents periodicially - even if they take awhile to write - so that we know someone is working on them. I know they can't all be banged out in a day; just want to make sure nothing languishes just because it has a name on it.

Thanks especially to Eric Davis who helped me a lot getting Redmine customized to our needs.

Sorry guys. Made more changes, and activated everyone who had signed up before has been activated and added to the project. Thanks for letting me know about these problems. I'm learning Redmine as I go, and the settings for things are kind of all over the place. :)

K, trying a different setting (I would think "account activation by
email" would mean you would get a.. you know... email to activate, but
maybe not? Going with "automatic activation" now in hopes that will
fix things.) I manually activated you, Karmen, and added you to the
Rails Tutor group, so you should be good to go. Sorry again for the
difficulty.
