Hi folks,

Just a few things:

- The "Installing Rails--Ubuntu" tutorial had some great additions
this week and is looking great. A big thanks to John Fisher, Nikolay
Petrachkov, and Noel Gomez for their efforts.

- Please continue adding/editing content to any of the courseware
pages on the wiki. There are all sorts of topics that we need help
with including: Testing Addons, Deployment, Searching, Git, File
Attachments, Validations, etc.

Just check the courseware outline for pages that need some love:
http://railstutor.org/projects/rails-tutor/wiki/Courseware_Outline

If you have any questions or need editor access just let me know.

- In the coming weeks Douglas Campos and I are going to begin building
out the new RailsTutor site, setting up a github repo, etc. If you'd
like to help out, just drop either of us a note.

- On a more personal and non-rails related note - my wife and I
welcomed a new baby boy into the world this past week. We are very
happy and everyone is doing well.

Take care and have a great week.

Thanks.

Carmen-

Another addition to the Ubuntu install (or even just "An OS with a Bash Shell" Ruby install) RVM really seems to help with this installation.

Recently, even tested installation of Ruby on Cygwin and that worked just fine as well.

Just something to consider.
