Today's the big day, when we kick off the Squid Attack!

The event officially starts at 4PM Central time (9PM GMT) today and carries through 4PM Central/9PM GTM, but you are welcome to start writing Rails Tutor courseware whenever you like! I'll be manning the #railstutor IRC channel in freenode and would love to have you come join me while we improve upon the Rails Tutor beginning developer course.

If you've never written any Rails Tutor courseware, please review our Contribution Guidelines at http://railstutor.org/projects/rails-tutor/wiki/Contributing .

We still have lots and lots of topics that need to be written, and plenty that need to be reviewed, too! If you're able to do any of the following, please join in:
* Write courseware
* Review/tech edit topics
* Create graphics to be used as visual aides in topics.

As a special incentive, we have three Rubymine licenses up for grabs as prizes! Anyone who contributes in any of the three ways listed above will be eligible for a license. Winners will be chosen by random drawing from among those who are eligible.

You'll also get the love and adoration of your peers. OK, maybe not "love" or "adoration", but we'd at least be pretty grateful. :)

If anyone has any questions, please get in touch with me via email or find me in the #railstutor IRC channel on freenode.

Dana

It's a bit late, but I've got time to do some writing/editing on the
courseware today.
