Obviously, our big news this week was the deployment of our new site.
There were a few bumps along the way with that, but I think things are
smoothed out for the most part and we're good to go. Today I also
added the "Recently Updated" section on the left, to show the 20 most
recently-updated topics in the Wiki.

The bookclub crew - Douglas Campos and Nikolay Petrachkov - continue
to work hard on the Bookclub application. So far they've added
authentication, simple searching, tag cloud, friendships, book
reviews, and books read. That's a lot of progress for a couple of guys
who are both new Rails developers and who are working on this project
in their spare time. Great work, guys!

They're also intentionally writing in some bugs into the application
that we can use as teaching opportunities in the courseware. They've
also confirmed that the bookclub application runs on Ruby 1.9.2 (which
is more than we can say for many of the plugins out there!).

I also wrote one tiny intro courseware document at http://railstutor.org/projects/rails-tutor/wiki/Style_groups
.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.
