driving route - Coolart rd or Balnarring rd?

Hi folks - just looking at maps, both Google and Whereis seem to
suggest taking Coolart Rd from either Frankston Sth or Tyabb Rd.
However from looking at the (old-school print-media) Melway, it looks
to me like you'd be better off taking the Mooroduc Hwy, and then
Balnarring Rd - it's slightly longer, but better roads all the way
except for the very last bit.

I haven't been down that way for a long time - anyone who knows the
road want to contribute anecdotal evidence? Or should I just trust
Google? :)

Either will do. I usually go down Coolart Rd to my friend's place in
Somers, just because it's a nicer drive that way.
