Next item, next thread: Anyone got a wireless router they can bring
along? That can handle 35-40 people on a network without any issues?

Cheers

Sorry, all I can bring is a very old AP. But maybe if enough people
brin in their APs and we use different channels for them it is a
solution, too. But it's old as I said. Not very speedy and WEP only.
(Oh and we would need an plug adaptor).

I think I have an extra one at home - my partner is the sys admin in the house, so I'm not completely sure.

I've got a spare never-used NetGear 801g wireless router with 4-wired ports I can bring. Not sure how it holds up to 35-40 laptops...

Mind you we're not having a Quake LAN party... are we ?

Are you looking for something more "industrial" ?

We had no problems with Apple Extreme with 40+ people, so I'm sure that'd be fine!

That said, Brett if you have a spare one, definitely would be great to bring it along as a backup.

Not sure whether you need another one, but I can bring an Airport base
station (802.11g) if you like.

That'd be great Kerry. Sounds like we've now got routers sorted.

I've got an Asus wl500G that I could bring along as well. Just in
case.

Adrien.
