I know we have at least one or two Germans coming to Rails Camp (and
are on this list) - so this is directed to them:
Do you know who's involved with http://railscamp.de/ ?

I don't speak/understand German, but it seems like it's pretty much
what we're doing next month - and so I'm happy to add an english
description of it to railscamp08.org if the organisers wish.

Cheers

Hi Pat,

thanks for sharing this website! I didn't know about that till now.
You are absolutely right, it seems that this is exactly what RailsCamp
UK is and it's located in the mid east of Germany:
http://www.google.de/maps?f=q&hl=de&geocode=&q=naumburg+saale&ie=UTF8&ll=51.151786,11.821289&spn=8.494217,21.379395&t=h&z=6&iwloc=addr

I don't know who's party this is but I have joined their Google Group.
There they say it will be in a youth hostel and the price for a three
day stay will cost at most 100 Euro and it seems that this price is
directly connected to the stay at the youth hostel, so if you don't
need to sleep there, you can enjoy the camp for free. They underline
that they see themselfes in a tradition of the free (in all of it's
meanings) barcamps.

Ok, nothing more I can tell you about this, but I will follow the
discussions over there. If you are interested in a contact and need
somebody who speaks German and a little English feel free to contact
me!

Cheers,

Thorben

Hi guys,

I'm the one who created the above mentioned website for the first
German RailsCamp. The organisation of the event is meant to be taken
care of by as many participants as possible, though.

Thorben is right for the most part. It's kinda like the other Rails
Camps, but there's at least one difference: we have and will use the
allmighty Internet. ;)

But besides that, I guess we're doing mostly the same thing – getting
together for a few days and having fun with or without RoR. So yeah,
why not have a short description on railscamp08.org. Just tell us a
max word count and where to send it, and it'll be on its way asap.

Oh, and have lots of fun this weekend at Rails Camp UK! :)

Cheerio

Hi Basti

If you just use one of the existing Rails Camp descriptions as a
template, that'll be enough for us to put something online.

Cheers
